Lightbulb How To Re-positition cursor at Login Screen

Debian 7 - kinda` fresh install.
I've installed Deb on a few different units & have noticed in all--just after booting in & coming to Login screen,
- the cursor first appears and is tucked way up in the top-left corner -or- bottom-right.
Can someone let me know which file to make changes to --
in order to center the cursor?
Thx for any help!!

You are going to have to hunt through the gdm3 or maybe even the Gnome config files.

I have never had the cursor in the lower right corner. Until now thought it only was the upper left.

Always assumed that, irritating as it is, the purpose was to have the mouse up there where the magic corner is as a way to introduce people to that function. This was only my theory, never looked into it further because there were many other issues I wished to address in Gnome.

As I addressed all my issues with Gnome, including that one, by switching to Xfce I can't help any further. I can say, seeing that I tried out Xfce on the same install, that no matter what extra DEs you add the behavior will stay the same.

So, the only real cure I know for this problem is do a clean install with any other DE than Gnome3.

Thanks widget..
humm - irritating it is! The search for tweaking goes on.
The lower-right side happened on a larger dell screen - first boot Deb7 install, my laptop
always shows top-left (even with a PinGuyOS install).

Thanks again for the info widget..
