Unhappy How to get Iceweasel to open preffered plugins???

In Iceweasel 2.0.0.1-1 in 'Edit>Preferences>Content>File Types>Manage' I only have 2 file types listed:

SPL Open with Shockwave Flash
QTL Open with Quicktime Plug-in 6.0/7

I have RealPlayer 10.0.8-805 (Gold), Shockwave Flash 9.0 r31, Java(TM) Plug-in 1.6.0, mozilla-acroread, and mplayerplug-in 3.31 installed and listed in 'aboutlugins'. Question is how to get Iceweasel to open the plugin or app that I want? Another question is how to get mplayerplug-in to not open things I want to open in RealPlayer or another app such as Amarok or Gxine [if/when I choose to install them]? How can I get more file types listed in 'Edit>Preferences>Content>File Types>Manage' so I can change them if I wish to?
