How to configure network printer under Debian?

Hi,guys:
Since I am a newbie in Debian GNU/Linux, so please excuse me if U think my question's stupid
Lately I've been keeping reading papers for research and finally bored of watching the Laptop screen all day long, so I decide to print the papers via the network printer at my laboratory. However, I have no idea on how to configure my Debian to use the network printer. Detailed info about the printer is : HP Laser Jet 1020 and the IP address of the server connected with the printer is: 59.64.151.130.
Does anyone have any idea on how to configure the network printer, any suggestions or tips would be sincerely appreciated, more details about the configuration process would be preferred, though Thanx in advance
Yours
Michael

If the printer is connected to another GNU/Linux box then CUPS is my suggestion. If it's connected to a winblows box then Samba. Do a search in LQ on how to use either option.

If your printer is attached to the network then you can configure it Graphically also. It is pretty simple as explained here.

Install Cups, it's in the Debian repo's. Then point your browser to http://localhost:631 and log in as root if requested. Then click the 'Add printer' button and follow the steps presented. Choose the correct printer model and confirm. Next, go to the 'Printer' tab (top menu) and see if your newly added printer is named. Click on that name and try a testpage. If that works, you're ready for the real thing
