how do I change registered user?
Hello. When first installing Linux, there's a request for the full name, and then the user name. How do I change what was registered for the full name of the user within Debian Squeeze?

there is no "registered" user. just create a new user account if you want a new user.

i think it depends on if you are using gnome, kde, xfce, lxde, ... but i would look in the menus for something like user/system preferences. the user name is really what is important to the os but i guess it is a nice feature to have ones common name greet them when they log in.

oh sorry, I misread. You should be able to see the name in /etc/passwd
|
