How do determine sources

How do I determine where sources mirrors are to use.
I have debian stable but want to update only kde to testing no other packages.

So I have located http://packages.debian.org/testing/kde/ but how do I find the repositories to add to my sources list.

I found this article on qt-kde experimental http://qt-kde.debian.net/.

It advises to use apt-spy. But the line it uses to determine the repositories I don't understand how I can utilise it.
Code:

# apt-spy -m mirrors.txt -d experimental-snapshots \
-f dists/experimental-snapshots/Release -o /etc/apt/sources.list.d/qt-kde.list

Is this the best way? Is there another way to easily determine and setup sources for debian repositories?

There are two proper ways to do it. One is to use Backports and the other is to change your sources list to Testing. In other words, "upgrade" to Testing. Mixing Tesing or Unstable packages with Stable is not a good idea.

So I could start with http://backports-master.debian.org/

And found the answer for how to use apt-spy here on LQ :) http://wiki.linuxquestions.org/wiki/Apt-spy

The newest kde you are going to be able to get on Stable is 4.6.

see:
start [debian-desktop] - http://www.debian-desktop.org/doku.php

# taken from testing. created according to backports.org description
deb http://www.debian-desktop.org/pub/li.../kde46-squeeze debian-desktop main
deb-src http://www.debian-desktop.org/pub/li.../kde46-squeeze debian-desktop main

if you want kde 4.8 you would need to upgrade to Wheezy/Testing.
