How can I rename file with left click?

In Mandriva 2005,when you left click the file name, you can change the file name. But in Debian/GNU the function does not act as default. How can I make it?

What desktop are you using? KDE or Gnome?

And what file manager are you using?

Please provide more info when you ask a question. Thanks :)

If Mandriva does that, it's the only OS I know of. Maybe try a right click.

Yeah, even in Windows and Mac, right-click is the standard for renaming files.

Unless your mouse is configured to be used with the left hand.

Well, now you can do that in Windows and macOS. Though you might already know that by now. And yes, I know this thread is from 2005.
