how can I play file avi file with DivX6.40 1280x720 24fps
I do not why but using same movie player (VLC) I can play the avi file ' ef - a tale of memories. ep 11 (DivX6.40 1280x720 24fps).avi' under windows xp but not debian etch.
Anyone have any ideas please tell me. I think it may be some kind of problem with the resolution, and my current resolution is 1204*768 I tired to change to 1280*800, but I failed. It may not have anything with the problems, but in case I just post. P.S. the player I have tried is mplayer, VLC, and movie player. |
The resolution isn't the problem. Your player will adjust to the smaller resolution that your X session has. The problem is probably a codec issue. You need to enable divx playing, which usually requires a codec. You don't have your distro listed, so I can't make any solid suggestions, but most major distros have the codec available in the non-free repositories.
You can download the codec directly from here, but if you aren't commandline comfortable, you might run into problems. http://download.divx.com/labs/divx61...cc4.0.1.tar.gz Peace, JimBass |
