Hi I never used debian but I want to try it so I read as much as i can i found that debian will not allow a rpm package to install directly, as a walk around, you
can use alien to change rpm to deb.

I hope some of this helps. TA TA

What do you wantr to do with it? Debian uses .deb packages. You could try something like Alien, but it really will mean that YMMV.

I've never tried it but have noticed that Debian has (or perhaps used to have) rpm available for install on its official distribution. It even suggested I install it once.

I have used aline many times to get some rpm package installed on my Debian system. Just do:
Code:
apt-get update
apt-get install alien
Good luck.
