how can I get/make a proper squid daemon startup script for boot time

I need help again, I have debian 2.4 and squid2.5 from squid-cache. I want to make a proper startup-shutdown script for boot time. Preferably using the RunCache file so if squid dies at some point it will restart itself, or a startup-shutdown script for debian simular to the ones used in RedHat. I can make a simple startup-shutdown script which mainly uses the following commands:
Exec '/usr/local/squid/sbin/squid'
Exec '/usr/local/squid/sbin/squid -k shutdown'

but it does not make sure squid is running, does not restart it if it dies, does not offer a simple command of 'squid restart' that is simular to other processes commands.does anyone know how to make or get a startup script for squid? thankyou
