Help setting 3D on an intel graphic card from notebook?

Hi all,
This is my first notebook, I am very new to it, and its a intel based hardware: dual core t2080, graphic is Intel Mobile 945GM.
Its kinda troubling, cause i come from a amd/nvidia background. Its been a long time since I don't own intel hardware.
Its running debian sid nicely so far, I've managed to get wireless working, but 3D from the graphic adapter still confuses me: what is the correct xorg module for it? I am using 'Intel' and glxinfo says there is direct rendering:

Code:
bruno@neutron:~$ glxinfo
name of display: :0.0
display: :0 screen: 0
direct rendering: Yes
server glx vendor string: SGI
server glx version string: 1.2
server glx extensions:
    GLX_ARB_multisample, GLX_EXT_import_context, GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap,
    GLX_EXT_visual_info, GLX_EXT_visual_rating, GLX_MESA_copy_sub_buffer,
    GLX_OML_swap_method, GLX_SGI_make_current_read, GLX_SGI_swap_control,
    GLX_SGIS_multisample, GLX_SGIX_fbconfig, GLX_SGIX_visual_select_group
client glx vendor string: SGI
client glx version string: 1.4
client glx extensions:
    GLX_ARB_get_proc_address, GLX_ARB_multisample, GLX_EXT_import_context,
    GLX_EXT_visual_info, GLX_EXT_visual_rating, GLX_MESA_allocate_memory,
    GLX_MESA_copy_sub_buffer, GLX_MESA_swap_control,
    GLX_MESA_swap_frame_usage, GLX_OML_swap_method, GLX_OML_sync_control,
    GLX_SGI_make_current_read, GLX_SGI_swap_control, GLX_SGI_video_sync,
    GLX_SGIS_multisample, GLX_SGIX_fbconfig, GLX_SGIX_pbuffer,
    GLX_SGIX_visual_select_group, GLX_EXT_texture_from_pixmap
GLX version: 1.2
GLX extensions:
    GLX_ARB_get_proc_address, GLX_ARB_multisample, GLX_EXT_import_context,
    GLX_EXT_visual_info, GLX_EXT_visual_rating, GLX_MESA_allocate_memory,
    GLX_MESA_copy_sub_buffer, GLX_MESA_swap_control,
    GLX_MESA_swap_frame_usage, GLX_OML_swap_method, GLX_SGI_make_current_read,
    GLX_SGI_swap_control, GLX_SGI_video_sync, GLX_SGIS_multisample,
    GLX_SGIX_fbconfig, GLX_SGIX_visual_select_group
OpenGL vendor string: Tungsten Graphics, Inc
OpenGL renderer string: Mesa DRI Intel(R) 945GM 20061017 x86/MMX/SSE2
OpenGL version string: 1.3 Mesa 7.0.1

But wasn't it supposed to be Intel, instead of SGI in

'server glx vendor string: SGI' ?

Another thing which isn't working is the note's webcam. It doesn't appear in lspci or lsusb, so I am out of ideas.

Any input is appreciated!

thanks!

I get the same glxinfo output on my onboard intel graphics adapter on an intel 965 chipset motherboard:

Code:
$ glxinfo
name of display: :0.0
libGL warning: 3D driver claims to not support visual 0x5a
display: :0 screen: 0
direct rendering: Yes
server glx vendor string: SGI
server glx version string: 1.2
I'm using the intel "i815" driver in xorg.conf and get about 1600 fps on glxgears(1280x1024 24bpp).
