Server specs:
http://www.supermicro.com/products/m.../955/PDSG4.cfm
with P4 3GHz, 1 GB ECC DDR 400 RAM and 2 7200 RPM 250 GB HD's.
First thing is that the network card (Intel® 82573V (Tekoa) PCI-e Gigabit LAN Port) isn't recognized, but that's not the main problem.
When detecting the hardware I get following message:
Following modules couldn't be loaded (only when in RAID mode):
Linux IDE-SCSI emulation layer
Linux IDE driver
Linux IDE probe driver
Linux IDE support
Linux IDE floppy
And when trying to partition the disks (both in RAID and IDE mode):
No partitionable media found. (the RAID controlling utility software does recognize the HD's, so I don't think there's anything wrong with the cables or so)
I tried installing Linux when not in RAID mode, when in RAID0 and in RAID1, but everything fails. (ICH7R SATA RAID Controller)
The only thing I can think of right now that could causing this is awrong Linux version (Debian Sarge i386 version), but I have no idea what other version I should use.
