Grub install error on RAID 5 set

I have configured a simple RAID 5 disk set of the following configuration during the installation of Debian 'Testing':

RAID5 Device #0
#1 20GB f ext3 /

SCSII (0,0,0) sda
#1 primary 256.0 MB F swap
#2 primary 10 GB K RAID

SCSII (0,1,0) sdb
#1 primary 256.0 MB F swap
#2 primary 10 GB K RAID

SCSII (0,2,0) sdc
#1 primary 256.0 MB F swap
#2 primary 10 GB K RAID

When installing the GRUB on the MBR, "Running grub-install (hd0)" hangs at 50%.

Please advise.

Thanks!

Akhran, looking this topic I found one person with the same problem.
Iīm trying to install grub on Adaptec controler with raid 5 and the Debian installer canīt install the Grub on boot partition.

03:01.0 RAID bus controller: Adaptec (formerly DPT) SmartRAID V Controller (rev 01)

The error is:

main-menu[1250]: INFO: Falling back to the package description for auto-install
main-menu[1250]: INFO: Falling back to the package description for ai-choosers
main-menu[1250]: INFO: Menu item 'grub-installer' selected
grub-installer: info: architecture: i386/generic
main-menu[1250]: WARNING **: Configuring 'grub-installer' failed with error code 1
main-menu[1250]: WARNING **: Menu item 'grub-installer' failed.

Looking for a solution I found that de installer try to use /dev/i2o/hda source and the grub only can be installed on /dev/sda source.

How do you fixed this issue?

Thanks

Cristian
