graphics driver for Intel PM965/GM965

Hi

I have notebook ThinkPad T61 (Intel PM965/GM965 graphics) 14,1 Zoll, current resolution 1024 x 768 and I'm looking for a driver, to get better monitor resolution.

This chipset is supported by the Intel driver inbuilt into the kernel and should give you all its functionality out of the box.

If you're running Gnome, KDE, or XFCE, each of them has a tool for adjusting the resolution.

Yep, there is a tool "Monitor Settings", but cannot set more than 1024 x 768 for example: 1440 x 900.

Make sure that the Intel driver is actually in use. You can check that in your /var/log/Xorg.0.log.

Code:
grep -i intel /var/log/Xorg.0.log
grep -i video /var/log/Xorg.0.log
post output here!
