GNOME screen recording: how to start it in Debian11 GNOME ?

So far https://askubuntu.com/questions/1190...r-command-line
say use
Quote:

gsettings get org.gnome.settings-daemon.plugins.media-keys screencast
output..
Quote:

['<Ctrl><Shift><Alt>R']
But this key sequence dont do anything on my PC/Keyboard.

Any advice is welcome.

(I was not successfull in using Kazam for recording the video of a sub-window; now I try to keep a standard Gnome tool)

Arch seems to have issues.. https://bbs.archlinux.org/viewtopic.php?id=280892 https://wiki.archlinux.org/title/GNOME#Screencast

According to this article, you use the "Print Screen" button to start it.

https://itsfoss.com/gnome-screen-recorder/
my experience: the "Print Sc" key on my keyboard store only a picture of both activated screens. No app is started with possibility of recording. No success so far.
