Gnome questions

I'm used to using KDE, but since I had to reinstall I thought I'd try something new. I kind of like the first feel of Gnome, but I have a quick question? How to I get the debian menu to show up? it doesn't show up. Firefox won't run either. Do I need something else installed? Like I said, I'm not used to Gnome, anything else I should know?

I don't know anything about the Debian menu, but try running Firefox from a terminal window and look for error output (like missing libraries).

Do you have "menu" installed (apt-cache search menu...)?

I don't think It's the K menu, because under the KDE menu theres a arrow out section called Debian. I'll have to check about menu
