GNOME prevents access to XSL files

When I try to open an XSL file (XML Language for Transforming XML Docs) I get the following message:
Quote:

The filename "review.xsl" indicates that this file is of type "(null)". The contents of the file indicate that the file is of type "XML document". If you open this file, the file might present a security risk to your system.
I tried adding "xsl" to the list of XML exstensions, but that didn't fix it, is there a way to turn off this "feature"? Note: I tried to open the file in firefox, it couldn't open it either, I think gnome is stopping it.

can you rename the file to end in ".xml"?

File with same name

In this case the xsl is called "essay.xsl" it controls the translation for "essay.xml", I could change the names, but I don't see why there isn't a way to tell GNOME to allow "xsl", this is the exstension one should use for XSLs so that they can be distinguished from XML files, sometimes XSLs are opened by different programs, etc. but GNOME seems to know what's in the file, so I can't even create a separate type for XSL.
