Gnome 2.4 install on 3.0

Is there anyone who installed Gnome 2.4 on Deb 3.0? I tried but i can't find fontconfig which works. Another thong, is there any way to do install by garnome from my hard drive I've downloaded all Gnome 2.4 archives)?
