Question Getting w32codec

I just added a repository to get the w32codec. I run "apt-get update" and I get the following error:

Quote:
Failed to fetch ftp://ftp.nerim.net/debian-marillat/...n/binary-i386/ Packages.gz Unable to fetch file, server said 'Can't open /debian-marillat/dist s/etch/main/binary-i386/Packages.gz: No such file or directory ' [IP: 62.4.17.1 4 21]
Reading package lists... Done
W: Couldn't stat source package list ftp://ftp.nerim.net etch/main Packages (/va r/lib/apt/lists/ftp.nerim.net_debian-marillat_dists_etch_main_binary-i386_Packag es) - stat (2 No such file or directory)
W: Couldn't stat source package list ftp://ftp.nerim.net etch/main Packages (/va r/lib/apt/lists/ftp.nerim.net_debian-marillat_dists_etch_main_binary-i386_Packag es) - stat (2 No such file or directory)
W: You may want to run apt-get update to correct these problems
E: Some index files failed to download, they have been ignored, or old ones used instead.
I'm new to debian and not sure what to do next or if I'm even adding the right repository.

Read http://ubuntuguide.org/wiki/Ubuntu_E...a_repositories and then
sudo apt-get update
sudo apt-get install w32codecs

Just do this...

Add this lines to your repositories

Code:
############
###Codecs###
############
#deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org/ sarge main
#deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org/ etch main
#deb http://www.debian-multimedia.org/ sid main
Uncomment the line for your distribution and run:

Code:
aptitude update
Code:
aptitude install w32codecs
Very Important: After the installation is complete you should comment again the line

The marillat source address has changed. It's now http://www.debian-multimedia.org/ (<--see this main page for details on how to set up your sources.list).
