Getting firmware to start at boot.
Recently I install Debian 6.0.3 onto my Asus Eee PC 901, and discovered that the RaLink wireless chip needed rt2860, so as I was in the installed I went to the files on my old openSuSE install, and copied the rt files from /lib/firmware. Having installed Debian, I put the rt files in /lib/firmware.
Looking back, this does not seem very smart. It did not work. Does anyone know how I can either get my rt files to work, or to download them from somewhere else so I can get WiFi?
