Getting a webserver/mail server up and running...

I have a domain registered,

and I have a box behind me running lighttpd/rails/mysql5/php5/webmin

What do I need to do to get my domain pointing at my webserver?

And, are there any guides out there for getting a mail server set up? every one I've tried so far only allows intrasystem delivery. I have a strong feeling that it's because my domain doesn't point at my machine yet.

you need dns. personally i use zoneedit.com to host my dns. i make my registrar point their name servers to zoneedit for my domain. i then configure zoneedit online to point to my own internet IP address.

as for email.. well that's all per MTA really, no generic way to install and configure each different SMTP server. most servers will allow outbound mail just fine, that's nothign to do with DNS... you already know where you are, it's other people sending email to you that won't happen without Dns.
