fwsnort: "Could not find make, edit the config section of install.pl at ./install.pl line 486"
 

hi i have a question about "fwsnort"
i download the latest version of fwsnort "fwsnort-1.6.3.tar.bz2"
and my linux distro is "Linux version 2.6.32-5-686 (Debian 2.6.32-46) (dannf@debian.org) (gcc version 4.3.5 (Debian 4.3.5-4) ) #1 SMP Sun Sep 23 09:49:36 UTC 2012"
ok now i want to install fwsnort :
i download it by wget http://www.cipherdyne.org/fwsnort/do...-1.6.3.tar.bz2
and i copy it to /usr/src
then i extract by "tar xfj fwsnort-1.6.3.tar.bz2"
and cd to fwsnort-1.6.3
when i type in terminal : ./install.pl ,it returns this "Could not find make, edit the config section of install.pl at ./install.pl line 486"
what's my problem ?
how can i fix it ?

Your old thread wasn't supposed to be used for unrelated questions so I moved it to a new thread and moved it to the Debian forum.


You don't have the GNU make package installed.


The message says "edit the config section of install.pl at ./install.pl line 486" so check that and then you probably will want to 'apt-get install make'.
