Talking freecom dvb-t not seen FIXED

I have a freecom dvb-t and debian etch. Also ubuntu. To get the freecom working ( in Ubuntu) all i had to do was to put the firmward into /lib/firmware/[kernel version] and voila all happy. But... it etch there is no [kernel version], so I've put it in all 'firmware' folders i could find but without sucess. So where do I put the firmware? I'd like to move from Ubuntu back to debian and this is the only thing stopping me... Your help appreciated

James

****** UPDATE******

Sorted. I was using the wrong firmware. In ubuntu I had to use version .01, but in Debian I have to use .02. No idea why, but it works.

If anyone needs any pointers I'll be happy to help, just message me...
