Fluxbox X sessions lasted less then 10 seconds

Wife got up before me and was on the computer and the batteries in the mouse were dieing so she went to replace them. When she turned it over I'm guessing she managed to hit at least the right and left click buttons causing her to log out. Now whenever we try to log back into Fluxbox we get the message that the x session lasted less then 10 seconds and to check the xsession-error logs for errors and to use a failsafe to fix them. Below is the contents of the log file when we select view.

/etc/gdm/PreSession/Default: Registering your session with wtmp and utmp
/etc/gdm/PreSession/Default: running: /usr/bin/X11/sessreg -a -w /var/log/wtmp -u /var/run/utmp -x "/var/lib/gdm/:0.Xservers" -h "" -l ":0" "jason"

Now I know its early and I haven't had enough coffee yet but I don't see any errors there.

Does anyone have any suggestions on what to look at and try?

Thanks

Did you restart the computer so it recognizes the mouse? Usually I get the 10 second message when X is misconfigured, but since your mouse was having a problem... ?

The computer recognizes the mouse fine. The only problem the mouse was having is its cordless and the batteries needed replacing. Once we replaced the batteries everything was fine mouse wise.

I should point out as well that KDE and Gnome work fine it's only in Fluxbox we're having this problem.
