Firefox stalls?

Hello all, I just did a install on the 32bit version of debian testing. I was wondering if someone could tell me why firefox just stalls? I mean even in downloading, browsing the LQ site it just stops responding. I have a Dsl connection, login configured in modem. Also I use xmms to listen to shoutcast and it stalls also. I tried the net in windows and it works fine.
Thanks in advance for the help.

ifconfig output if it helps:
debian:/home/corbintechboy# ifconfig

How do you mean by stalls? Do you mean that when you click on a link or go to a new shoutcast site, it sites there for a while, then goes to the link?

If so, then the first thing I would start looking at is a possible problem with DNS.

Heres what happened. I got a new Dsl modem (the one i was using is not mine). Today the modem came UPS that came with my service. If I go into debian or vector for that matter, only thing that gets online is konqueror. I have windows installed and internet works fine in windows. I tried changing my MTU and everything and still nothing. Now when I try to use firefox (or any mozilla product) I get stopped when I try to goto a page, it dont even try. I don't know what's going on.

Thanks for the reply!
