Hi all, a quick question (which I hope is an easy one):
I'd like to backup certain directories /home and /var/lib/cvs to CD (how to burn a CD is not the question atm). I can make zip files of these folders but then I lose the file attributes, such as owner, group, etc. (don't I?)
Is there a way of capturing all the file system information and making one big file of a directory and all subdirectories?
