Actually, the limit for NTFS is the size of the partition minus whatever is needed for the logs, allocation table and the like.
For FAT32 and FAT it is 4GB, so that means no DVD isos.
I don't know about linux filesystems, but I know that for Rieserfs and XFS it is very high. Ext2/3 probably is high too, but I wouldn't reccommend using it as it is inefficient and old.
