Smile file alert is lost while installing snort


i 've just install snort-mysql on my Debian PC complete, and the snort can run as usual, but when i try to find alert that locate in /var/log/snort/alert , i do not find that file, there are only some file of tcpdump log, what must i do to make it fix and alert file appears?

Documentation for snort-mysql on Debian Lenny is located on your system if you install the snort-doc package. Your question is probably answered there.
