Festival Installation

I am trying to install Festival Screen Reader on my Debain Sarge 3.1. During the compilation of the source files teh system says "lcurses" missing.

How and where can I get "lcurses"? I have 2.4 kernel running on my pc.

-lcurses means "the library called curses", most linux distro's prefer the gpl version, ncurses. check you've got that installed.
