Red face Failing to run aol messenger on Debian

Hi Guys

I am getting this error if I try to run aol messenger on Debian.

/usr/local/bin/aim: error loading shared libraries: libstdc++-libc.1-1.so.2: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory.

I even tried apt-get install for this file but to no avail.

Please help.

In short : The binary for aim is linking against a version of C that is not available on your system.

Just use gaim like everyone else It supports multiple networks including msn and aol

apt-get install gaim
