External Hard Disk for both Debian & MS


Hi,

I have an external hard disk for USB port.
I formatted it on MS for NTFS system.working fine on MS.
But can not write while on Debian. Permission denied.
Want to use for both on Debian & MS.

Hi,

try using an /etc/fstab entry like this:

/dev/sdc1   /windoze            ntfs defaults,nls=utf8,umask=007,gid=46  0  1
Please note that the device name (/dev/sdc1) and mount point (windoze) are (pseudo) random.
