I was wondering if anyone knows of any good eSATA adapters that work well in Debian Etch? I am thinking about purchasing a
NORCO DS-1220 3U 12-bay Hot-swap but from what I have seen on reviews the support for the included eSATA adapter in linux OS's is very limited. This will work great for my file server that I am planning to build. Yea I know it's overkill but it's better to have more then you need then not have enough. This should do me for about 4 years. Since that is about how long it will take me to fill it up.
Thinking about putting 500GB HDD's in. Seagate Barracuda 7200 RPM drives of course, cheap I know but I'm not made of millions... Should be a good project for the year.

This will be about all I will be able to buy this year!! One of these and a server to attach it to... Was just thinking about building a 5U File server but then I came across this baby... Basically this server I am looking to build will be my main file server. If I could afford a SAN and Fiber Channel Cards along with switches to go with them I would.
Anyone else got a dream system that they are working on making a reality? If so let's start a dream server thread if there is already not one going.
