error building nvidia kernel module

I'm installing new nvidia drivers (want 3d for gaming).

For the most part this looked like it went okay. It complains toward the end about dependencies (alba). Question is, should I worry about it? Should I uninstall anything related to 'alba'?

Here's some of the output. Really the part I'm concerned with is the end

ok, so I got back into Synaptic Package Manager and removed those pesky ALSA (I typo'd earlier).

rebuilt. no errors. well, there were but I doubt they're an issue:
1)complaint about "void 0" in math statement. I think all that has to do with is return values.
2)couldn't find a directory to delete. no biggy.
