Enlightenment problem
Ok, so I added enlightenment through the synaptics manager. It installed fine as did fluxbox and blackbox. However the problem I am having is when I boot up the only sessions I can choose is kde, gnome, blackbox, fluxbox, and failsafe. How can I add enlightenment to this. I have searched google but have not found much.

Most window managers install a .desktop file to /usr/share/xsessions. For instance, fluxbox installs /usr/share/xsessions/fluxbox.desktop. All graphical login managers in Debian check the /usr/share/xsessions directory to see which window managers are currently installed. If there's no .desktop file for enlightenment under /usr/share/xsessions, you can take a look at the other .desktop files there and then create one for enlightenment. After that, your login manager should give you the option to start enlightenment.

Thanks worked like a charm. enlightenment was alright but I think I am going back to fluxkbox.

Don't do that. Try experimenting with the themes and perhaps have just one 3x3 virtual desktop. |
