If you are using gdm or kdm you should be able to choose the window manager at login.

spidna...i did this by adding a file to /usr/share/xsessions. inside this folder you should have files for your other desktops such as fluxbox and gnome and so on. i copied one of these files and edited it and renamed it Enlightenment.desktop. now elightenment shows up as an option in KDM.

here is the file i created:

[Desktop Entry]
Encoding=UTF-8
Name=Enlightenment
Comment=Enlightenment
Exec=enlightenment
Terminal=False
TryExec=enlightenment
Type=Application

[Window Manager]
SessionManaged=true

open up gedit copy this to it and name it Enlightenment.desktop

then put this file in the xsessions folder and you should be good to go.

On Debian, all you need to do is:
Code:

apt-get install enlightenment
and an enlightenment entry will automatically be added to kdm. If the entry isn't there for some reason, you can run:
Code:

dpkg-reconfigure enlightenment
or re-install it.
