Editing Sources.list

Can somebody explain to me how-to edit my sources.list

ive read on it and cant seem to figure it out maybe im a retard?

You can use any text editor to edit it... the lines are fairly self explanatory, but it's basically:

If your using gnome something along the lines of gksu gedit /etc/apt/sources.list should open gedit and allow you to edit it as root.

In KDE you can do kdesu kedit /etc/apt/sources.list

You can also use a GUI like Synaptic or adept and edit it that way.

Of course you can always open a terminal login as root as use a text editor like nano or vim.
