Edit Desktop Menu (right-click on desktop)

Hello everyone,

I wish to edit the default menu you get when you right-click on the desktop. I am aware of the custom1, custom2 menu you can create in Control Center > Desktop > Behavior - however, I simply want to change the Create New > Link to Device menu. I want it to include removable media/flash drives. Is there a way to edit the default Desktop Menu to include these?

I have been able to create a Desktop Icon for my flash drive, but it is a very convoluted way to do it. I have to create a link to a floppy drive and then edit it. It is a pain in the you-know-what. I somehow have one system that creates the icon only when I plug in the device, but another nearly-identical system shows it permanently any changes the icon to indicate it is mounted. Very strange. I don't even know how the one system got the auto-icon on the desktop in the first place.

O.K. I wasn't able to answer my question, but I did find better, easier way to display the removable media on the desktop.

Control Center > Desktop > Behavior > Device Icons [tab]
Show Device Icons > checked
Make sure removable media is checked
Done.

So if anyone has an answer to my question of altering the default desktop menu great... otherwise - thank you anyway! :)
