I have a box using Debian. Usually I don't have to configure pppoe every time I start up, I ran "ADSL-PPPOE CONFIGURATOR" while in KDE the first time booting up and have had no troubles...until now.

On some boot ups, I cannot access the internet. I will go thru the ADSL-PPPOE Configurator, but no luck.

I have looked at the following:

ifconfig eth0 shows no abnormalities. I cannot give the output, as I cannot connect that machine to the internet...

adsl-start does not exist.
pon does nothing
pon dsl-provider does nothing for me either.

Now, upon numerous reboots, nothing. I can no longer get on the net with that linux box.

ifconfig, shows status of eth0, eth1, and lo

Any help getting going?

Nevermind.

I have the connection back.

What a typical windows user.

Cable was loose. (or I think that was it...)
