Dreamlinux 1.3 Standard Install

I am trying to install Dream linux 1.3 Standard on my laptop:

Compaq Presario M2105US
AMD Mobile Sempron 1800+

During the bootup, I can choose the following boot options with the same result: "Dream", "Dream | ACPI On", and "Dream | Expert,"
It keeps freezing with the following lines:
Enabling DMA acceleration for: hdc
/linuxrc: 400: head: not found
/linuxrc: 400: grep: not found
Using /modules/cloop.ko
Here's the catch; I can choose "Dream | Failsafe" and everything boots fine. Once it gets to the same point that it normally freezes on, it just keeps booting with not even a hint of slowing down. It doesn't make much sense to me, but then again I'm trying something new.

I know this isn't a Dreamlinux forum, but it is Debian-based, so I thought this would be the best place. If anyone needs more info, please let me know.

Thanks in advance,
