does exim4 support internet mail?

I have a network of 2 computers, behind a DI-604, both running Exim4. I mail root@linux1.tdpres.dyndns.org (just for personal use, ISP (Charter Comm.) Blocks it so I just use it for my machines for testing debbugs.) My dns (192.168.0.102, reffering to my router) is configured with proper NS Records. Do I need a POP3 server?!?!?

do you understand what the differences between an SMTP server (what exim is) and a POP3 or IMAP server are? SMTP is how other mail servers or mail applications give mail away, and POP3 / IMAP is how an end user gets the mail from a server on demand... if you are not sure what kinda of servers you need, you need to give more detail about what you actually want to do.

It was debbugs that I needed it for, but I cant get it to work! So I switched to Bugzilla.
