Display IP address on the xfce desktop


hi

I've squeeze with xfce desktop installed.
Howto Display IP address after startup automatically on the xfce desktop?

Thx, but is there something really simple than conky?

What about Gkrellim

It is in repos also. You can also configure conky to show only IP address.

What my full conky looks like before I made the other to show you how small it can be.

Conky is in the repos. Just install. Make a hidden new text file named .conkyrc in /home. Copy and paste my code tag entry into that file. Save it.
Run

in terminal. I run Icewm so my edit my startup of Icewm different than you would in XFCE. I don't use XFCE. But I bet it is pretty simple to add conky to XFCE Startup.
