Hi,
I too am trying to get Debian (Etch) running on my Dell GX260, but I am running into kernel panics on boot up.
My system:
1 Gb RAM
1 36 Gb SCSI (Adaptec 2490UW) main linux installation
1 40 Gb IDE (Windows XP installation)
Nvidia GeForce pci video card
What is your system configuration? Is it working?
Thanks,
Duane

I wonder if it would be a similar issue many of us have run into installing Linux (including Debian) on the Optiplex 320..
http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...o.conf-614053/
As you can see form my post in the thread the only way I got debian working was to use LILO rather than GRUB and add pci=nomsi to the boot information...
let us know if you get your issue resolved..

Hi,
I do not know if our issues are related, but I was able to get my system to boot, after removing my PCI NVidia 5200 graphics card kinda a sour victory.
I am willing to try to debug this issue further, but have no idea _how_ to do such a thing. If I put the graphics card in, the system simply will not boot, and the diagnostic messages come too fast (and many) to properly report them.
Thanks,
Duane
