Debian Wheezy does not auto-connect to Internet
I have a machine with Debian Wheezy Xfce.
It is directly connected to WiFi router (LAN cable) with a static IP.
I recently changed the Internet provider and I have a new router. Its settings are the same, except for local DNS server being *.1 instead of .254 on my previous one.
I changed this bit in the Wicd preferences.
However, when I restart the Debian machine, it does not automatically reconnects to the Internet. Local LAN connection works fine, as I can browse local computers via IP address in and out of the Debian machine. However, external Internet addresses do not work, neither with domain names, nor with direct IP address (like ping 173.194.41.160 or ping google.com)
However, if I click disconnect and then back connect in Wicd, everything returns to norm. It is obviously not the best solution as this machine should be a remotely controlled only (via VNC/terminal).
Outputs of sudo ifconfig before/after reconnection are the same.
Any thoughts or comments?
