debian replacements for gentoo tools/scripts
I would like to start using debian instead of gentoo (the source compile is really beginning to kill me). Anyway, I was just wondering about the alternatives to two gentoo tools/scripts/configuration files that I often use. One of them is rc-update. rc-update updates a list of the programs that I want to start upon booting up. What is the file/tool that I could use in replacement for this? The other tool/script thing is /etc/modules.autoload.d/kernel-2.6 in gentoo. This file is basically a list of all of the kernel modules that I want to load upon booting up my computer. Is there a file like this in debian? Thanks!
