debian on Asus EEEPC

hi

I'd like to install debian on Asus EEEPC 1000H according to:

http://wiki.debian.org/DebianEeePC/HowTo/Install

but cannot understand howto bring the image to the harddisk ?

should I boot EEEPC from the USB stick ?

Yes you should. Make sure you've made it bootable beforehand!

thx, but cannot reach BIOS setting to change boot options.
I tried to press ESCAPE or F2 a couple of times before OS booting,
cannot see a boot logo, windows XP starts to quickly.
this is very strange !

If it's the asus splash screen you're after then, on my asus, this is not the default it has to be asked for in the bios.

With me it's <tab> or <delete>, can't remember, to get into bios setup.

Hi there,

I do not know about ASUS but I have Intel motherboard.

The most common keys to get into BIOS are Del, F1 or F9.

Hope this helps.

If it's the same on the 1000 as on my 901, you get to BIOS setup with F2.

I've updated the BIOS using ASUS Update tool under XP.
now I get the Boot Menu on the screen and even now I can press F2.
