Debian etch installer question

I'm getting ready to install Debian (etch) using the netinstall approach.

A few months back when I tried it, when it got to the part of the installation process where it asked if I wanted to install the bootloader in the MBR, I said "yes" and the Windows installation got completely bunged. Should I have waited and made a choice from a later screen?

Also, I'm using today's (14 Mar) daily build but couldn't see an option for the graphical installer. Is that a choice or is that for the installer RC2?

The RC2 Installer is thought to be ready, but it hasn't been officially released yet. Get it here. I have read several reports from people who used it, and they said it worked perfectly.

I have always put Grub on the MBR ... Most people do. Don't know why you had problems.

To use the graphical installer, instead of hitting [Enter] to boot, type installgui, then hit [Enter]. It's altogether possible that the daily build is the same as RC2, but I don't know.
