Debian dependencies - Here we go again ...

I'm trying to install kde 4.2 because I read it's awesome now. Debian was fast and already uploaded the packages to experimental. However, I got dependency issues again and the reason is (almost) funny.

For the kipi-plugins we have 3 (!!!!!) versions in the repository : libkipi0, libkipi5 and libkipi6. That's more versions of the lib than applications, that actually use this lib (gwenview and digikam or are there any more ?).
While gwenview insists on libkipi6, digikam wants libkipi5. The old versions of these apps, however, want libkipi0, but collide with the kde4 metapackages. All libkipis collide with each other of course.

I hope that's not what they mean, when they say 'Linux is about choice'.

Any suggestions on how I can have both, digikam and gwenview ? Has anyone already tried the debian kde 4.2 packages ?

ok, sorry, I may have ranted to early. Debian already has a new version of digikam that uses libkipi6. It's not in my packagelist yet, but I'm just gonna grab it from their site.
