debian deb packaging: how to detect "--purge"-switch

hi,

how does one have to build a deb-package in order to detect and react to the --purge switch?

refer to this: http://www.debian.org/doc/debian-pol...conffiles.html

(in short, use "conffiles" for files that should be considered "configuration". they're not removed for uninstall, but for purge)
