Debian & Ubuntu

Hi!

I have installed the Ubuntu Distro, who is based on Debian. I always want to use Debian, but I was afraid about his Kernel version and pkgs. Ubuntu comes with a 2.6 kernel, and seens to be very stable.

But even using ubuntu who is a debian distro based Im still wanting to install Debian, maybe the Sarge release... But what about the app and kernel versions? apt-get is update to keep everything updated?

I never used debian itself, so Im a litle afraid, any suggests?

Install or do not install Sarge? Keep ubuntu is the same thing?

thanks!

if you don't have problems with ubuntu, keep it at least for a while. When you'll know more about ubuntu, thus debian, do what you want.
