Debian 3.1 install

Tried installing it via dual boot with Windows XP (which was already on my system on another disk) installed everything fine and got to the stage of rebooting the system whilst removing the media (cd) but after rebooting, instead of coming up with the GRUB bootloader, it just says GRUB:

Probebly something silly im missing, just can't think of what to do right now.

Any help would be greatfully appreciated.

Cheers

What is the error that GRUB gives you? I am not sure that could be the correct error.. If that is very weird error, never heard of anything like that before..

Also can you boot any OS at all?

28. Install the GRUB boot loader on a hard disk [yes]
* The following other operating systems have been detected.....
Microsoft XP Pro...if all your operating systems are listed
above it should be safe to install the boot loader to the
master boot record.....you will be able to choose to load one
of these operating systems or your new Debian.
29. Install GRUB to MBR [YES] hd0

Did you set the bootable flag when you partitioned debian?
