debain mirrors

hai,
anyone tried mirroring debian..
the debian site said mirroring one architecture would require just 9GB,but the rsync command i have executed has already downloaded 27GB for i386 architecture alone, the pool coming upto 25 GB,
why s this..what did debian mean by 9GB..or is there anything that can be excluded while running the rsync command..

and what are the main requirements for being atleat a secondary mirror of debian..

please help out

denzil

what's your rsync command? Maybe you got it wrong and you are downloading the entire archive, which is around 120GB?

Have you look at apt-proxy?
